In response to the cross-border challenges of tuberculosis control and sharing of Taiwan's prevention and treatment experience, the Disease Control Agency has organized a four-week "2018 New South-to-Broad Tuberculosis International Training Camp" from June 11 to July 6. Ning Province conducts a variety of research on tuberculosis, including research on TB prevention issues, practical exchanges and introduction of epidemic prevention industries.

The Department of Disease Control said that the participants in the camp were 26 health officials and medical staff in Guangning Province, Vietnam. The professional background of the members included public health, clinical and inspection. All members will participate in the TB prevention seminar and visit the mask factory and the anti-tuberculosis drug factory in China. In addition, the participants will be divided into the District Control Center of the Disease Control Department, the New Taipei City Government Health Bureau, the Kaohsiung City Government Health Bureau, and Wanfang Hospital, one of the drug-resistant tuberculosis medical care systems, conducted practical exchanges. Through field participation from north to south, we learned more about how China's TB system operates and prevents it through the integration of central, local government, medical and private resources. Work driven.

According to the World Health Organization, more than 10 million people worldwide suffer from tuberculosis in 2016. Among them, 64% of tuberculosis cases are from the Southeast Asia and Western Pacific regions where the new south is located. Vietnam is also a country with high burden of tuberculosis and multi-drug resistant tuberculosis. Over the years, China has actively implemented prevention and treatment strategies for tuberculosis treatment (DOTS), high-risk group latent tuberculosis infection treatment, and multi-drug resistant tuberculosis medical care. The incidence of tuberculosis has been declining year by year. In 2017, it has fallen below 10,000 (the number of occurrences is 9,759). people). Nowadays, the economic and cultural exchanges with the new southward countries are becoming more frequent, and the impact on the tuberculosis epidemic in China is also expanding.

In order to implement the "talent exchange" of the new southward policy, the DHA not only conducts physical interaction with the province of Quang Ninh Province in Vietnam, but also plans to go to the local area to carry out epidemic prevention and deepening. It is hoped that through the two-way cooperation of sustainable development, the regional joint prevention of tuberculosis will be enhanced. The amount of energy can reduce the threat of cross-border epidemics to the health of the whole people, and work together to achieve the global goal of eliminating tuberculosis in 2035.
